The Passenger Services Committee (PSC) from Railway board comprising of three members arrived Visakhapatnam to inspect various Railway stations over Waltair Division from 04.10.2021 to 06.10.2021. The committee members were Shri Jayantilal Jain Smt. Surama Padhy and Shri. Gangadhar Talupula, The PSC Committee inspected Vizianagaram, Srikakulam Road stations on 04.010.2021; Rayagada and Bobbili Railway stations on 05.10.2021 and Visakhapatnam railway station today (06.10.2021) in the division. The inspection was focused on basic passenger amenities like availability of drinking water facilities, waiting hall facilities, toilet facilities, Platform shelters, foot over Bridges, sitting arrangements for passengers, working of Lifts &escalators, Catering stalls, food courts etc , which were inspected thoroughly. The cleanliness of the station areas and the hygiene of the food items available in catering stalls were also examined by the committee members.

During their inspection they have interacted with the passengers at waiting halls, food courts, on the platform to get feedback from them. Positive response from the rail users delighted the team and they appreciated the efforts of the Divisional Authorities for maintaining cleanliness, modern passenger amenities and information dissemination systems. Prior to the inspection of the PSC team over the Division Shri Anup Satpathy, Divisional Railway Manager, Waltair, interacted with the members of the committee and discussed various issues on passenger facilities and developmental activities. DRM assured that the division is taking every effort to provide best service to the passengers. Today, after the completion of inspection by the PSC team, ADRM Shri Sudhir Gupta, who accompanied the team during inspection, held review meeting with the members. The members expressed satisfaction over the inspection and feedback from the rail users. Sr. DCM Shri AK Tripathi, Sr.DEN ( Head Quarters) Shri Prabhakar Rao and other officers from electrical, Signal& Telecom, Civil Engineering etc were present.
